How It Works

Automate Shipping Profiles lets you create custom shipping profile conditions for products in your store. When these custom conditions – or rules – are met, products are automatically assigned to a specific Shipping Profile.

Let’s say you want to offer a Free Shipping promotion for all of your T-shirts. With Automate Shipping Profiles, you can create a Profile Condition that assigns all of your t-shirts to your Free Shipping profile. When your promotion is finished, simply deactivate the Profile Condition.

You can set up and access most features in Automate Shipping Profiles while in Setup Mode. To take advantage of automations and to access all of the features, you’ll need to set up Billing.

The Basics

To take advantage of Automate Shipping Profiles, you’ll need at least two Shipping Profiles and at least one Profile Condition.

  • Shipping Profiles are created in your Shopify settings. They allow you to set up product-based rules for more accurate shipping rates.
  • Profile Conditions are a set of rules that, when met, automatically re-assign products to specific Shipping Profile.

Unlike our main app, Intuitive Shipping, Automate Shipping Profiles is not a rate calculator. It simply and efficiently moves your products from one Shipping Profile to another. Shipping Rates already associated with your Shipping Profiles will be displayed depending on which Shipping Profile the products in the cart are tied to.

How to Find Answers

We’ve designed Automate Shipping Profiles to be easy to use. If you do get stuck or have a question, simply click the Support label in the main menu, then click the Go To Knowledge Base button to return here to the Knowledge Base.

Next, type a topic into the Search field or click the Automate Shipping Profiles category to access Setup Guides and FAQs that are specific to the app.
