Profile Conditions

Set up custom Profile Conditions that, when met, will automatically assign your products to pre-determined Shipping Profiles, giving you more accurate shipping rates at checkout.

Add A Profile Condition

  • Click Profile Conditions on the main menu.
  • Click the Add Profile Condition button.

General Settings

  • Enter a Title for your Profile Condition – e.g. ‘Shirts’

Profile Condition Titles are not visible to your customers.

  • Select the Status of your Profile Condition.

When Status is set to ‘Inactive’, the Profile Condition will be ignored when assigning products.

  • Set the Priority to be given to your Profile Condition by typing the priority number into the field or by clicking the Up/Down Arrows.

Higher priority will be given to lower numbers – e.g. ‘1’ has the highest priority.

Conditions

  • Select whether All Conditions, Any Conditions or No Conditions must be met for your Profile Condition to return true.
  • Click the Condition field, then select the Condition type – e.g. ‘Tag’.
  • Click the Rule field, then select the rule for the Condition – e.g. ‘Equals’.
  • Enter a Value (or values) for the Condition type – e.g. ‘Shirt’ or ‘Shirt, Shirts’.

Multiple Condition values should be separated by a comma.

To add more Conditions, click the Add Another Condition button, then repeat the above steps for Conditions.

Shipping Profile

  • Select the Shipping Profile that will be assigned to the product if the Profile Condition (or Conditions) returns true.

If Profile Conditions are not met – or if Profile Condition status is set to ‘Inactive’ – products will automatically be assigned to your Default Shipping Profile. To learn how to set your Default Shipping Profile, click here.

Save Your Settings

  • Click the Save button to save your Profile Condition settings.

Edit Profile Conditions

  • To edit existing Profile Conditions, click Profile Conditions on the main menu.
  • Click on ‘Edit‘ beside an existing Profile Condition.
  • Update the Title.
  • Toggle the Status to either Active or Inactive.
  • Update the Priority.
  • Update the Condition Type, Rule and Value – e.g. ‘Tag’ > ‘Equals’ > ‘Dress’
  • Click the Save button to save your updated settings.

To delete a Profile Condition, click the Delete button at the bottom of the page.

Adjust Priority

You can quickly adjust the priority of each of your Profile Conditions.

  • Click Profile Conditions on the main menu.
  • Click the Adjust Priority button.
  • Manually drag and drop your existing Profile Conditions into the desired order.
  • Click the save button to save your priority sequence.

Manually adjusting the priority will override and update the numerical Priority setting assigned to your Profile Condition in the Edit Profile Conditions page.

Similarly, changing the numerical value in the Edit Profile Conditions page will override and automatically adjust the Priority.
